“I backed up to the device and used my hands to elevate myself up each step and bring my legs up as I went. I was then able to transfer into my wheelchair. It is very useful, but it still requires a person to bring the ResQUp close to the place you fell and reposition your wheelchair for transfer. It will be very useful for the elderly couple. One in a wheelchair or on a walker but the other strong enough to position the device but not strong enough to lift the person from the floor. I saw that situation so often when I worked at the rehab center in my local hospital. It is helpful to get down on the floor. I never get down on the floor because I couldn’t get up. This allows me to do that (like outside when I’m trying to pull weeds in the flower beds or get on the floor with my grandkids.
